Jackal: Okay, so Jackal is Knives's closest off-team relationship right now. It happened kind of quickly, and a lot of it was clinging to another person her age after Cider went into the bigger picture, but she's mostly over that reason now and she just likes Jackal a lot. He's fun to hang out with and he gets why romance is weird and awkward and hey now they have bird friends :> She doesn't have a crush on him or anything, but things could potentially go that way in the future. Maybe!!

Tavros: Comet likes him and would probably consider them friends at this point, though obviously not close friends yet. She thinks he's a little dorky, but she likes dorky guys, and she has decided that she's going to be friends with Ruby's dumb boys, so. She wants to hang out with him more and get to know him better! Also she is pretty intrigued by the fact that he can fight with a lance, whoa.

Like I said above, Comet has decided she's going to be friends with Ruby's dumb boys, so she's never leaving you alone sorry. She likes Slick a lot. She thinks he is unironically cool, and even when he does something dumb she is like "ooh senpai notice me," so she really really wants to be friends with him and is kind of subconsciously trying to flirt with him by putting them in competition with each other, because… that… works? She doesn't even realize that's what she's doing, though, at this point. ANYWAY she thinks Slick is a pretty fun guy and likes hanging out with him and wants to continue to do so. :> 4ever.

Lambda: Comet kind of likes her? Well, she's interested in her because Lambda appears to be around her own age. She thinks Lambda is a brat, but that's not necessarily a deal-breaker as far as friendship goes. So she's open to talking to Lambda more, even if all they do is snark at each other into eternity. She even thinks that would be fun! So Lambda is a jerk but Comet is kind of like "YOU'RE A BRAT, I'M A BRAT, WE CAN BE BRATS TOGETHERRR"

Dagger: Knives thinks he's nice, but quiet, so she's not really sure yet what her opinion is. She finds him interesting because he's the first Fawn who's come back from the bigger picture, but she thought the fact that he didn't fight for his old name was kind of weak! Then again, he did end up choosing a weapon name after, so that got him some extra points. Overall she thinks he's probably a good guy and he seems nice so far.

Comet thinks Shirayuki seems nice! That is her main impression right now since the first time they talked was in the cookies game and she wanted Comet to go to the clinic after, and they haven't talked extensively since then, but Comet thinks she seems like a cool person? She's excited to be in a giant snowball fight, and if Shirayuki is recruiting her, then she must be a fun person. Comet is kind of side-eyeing the comment about not throwing knives at people, though. REALLY? She knows she's young but she doesn't want to be talked down to. :\

OVERALL her impression is positive, though. Reverse!

Knives honestly thinks Fawn is the best team in Decollage and she can't imagine being on any other team. She loves Fawn so much and thinks of them as members of her family. She's glad that Steel sent her to secure the alliance with Lilac because HEY LOOK I CAN HELP TOO. She really wants to be seen as a contributing member of the team. She doesn't want her age to mean that other members of Fawn will keep getting hurt instead of her in trauma games, but she hasn't yet figured out a way to convince anyone that she should get to ~take her turn, so right now she tries her best to contribute and help the team win whenever she can to make up for it. Fawn's loyalty and protectiveness are things that she loves, but at the same time they can make her feel kind of like a burden sometimes. Knives would do anything for Fawn, she just really loves them. Even if she acts like a brat at times. '-'

Reverse? I'm interested to see what Steel thinks of the team's overall dynamic these days.

First impressions me! :o

She thinks Comet is fun!! There aren’t a ton of tiny teens in Aather so she wants to make Comet feel welcome and included, especially since most of the younger people she knows are the ones she ends up thinking are the most reliable…somehow. Right now she’s just trying to get to know her a little better and encourage her to be the coolest person she can be!! And offering to help defeat Coral in an epic snowball fight with her was just yes, you are a good person this is awesome. Apple will end up fussing because that is her default when people do dangerous things SORRY YOU HAVE OBTAINED A MOTHER HEN.

Hmmm any major differences you notice between Breeze/Knives/Comet?

Steel loves Fawn, it is his reason for pushing on in this place. Fawn also works as a check on his feelings and how he does things; they're pretty much the reason he hasn't decided to go down the warpath and start slaughtering people in games without a second thought, because A) Fawn holds no grudges and he finds that very important and B) he doesn't want them to see him do that. Recently when he was talking to other teams some of them mentioned being LESS COHESIVE than Fawn is and he was just like '...how do you even exist' because it's so alien to him. Fawn has never been fractious or divided and it would be really alarming if they started! They're all of a like mind.

That said, Erik's starting to get frustrated at times with how Fawn doesn't seem to listen to him. He told them Cardinal was bad news and Merlot in particular, Janus goes off and makes friends with/revives them. He continually tells Venus to go out and talk to people, she doesn't. He tells Auriga to let them help with the blood thing, she won't. So while he still believes in Fawn's solidarity there are... times... and things, where he gets intensely frustrated and upset because they don't heed him. Which could be a more personal problem on his end because STOP DOING THINGS I DON'T LIKE but most of his requests are directly related to what he feels is best for the team. And when they get ignored it's like :T

Any relationship changes?

HMM. Knives is more serious and Comet is more laid-back. Both are more polite than Breeze. Breeze went through the whole thing with Jack and Dekka and is kind of comfortable with it at this point. Whereas Comet only has a memory of Jack and is a lot more flirty and "ohoho i like dumb boys", and Knives only has memories of Dekka so she's like "OH MY GOD WHAT IS ROMANCE THIS IS HORRIBLE AND SCARY." Comet doesn't want to hurt anyone and was really horrified by her memory of slicing Drake into pieces; Knives used to be like that too, but at this point she's getting way more "whatever" about hurting people, whoops.

Comet likes Ling a lot! He's been really nice to her so far and it's nice to have someone who eats more than she does tbh. She tried to be standoffish and cool at first, buuut that didn't last too long. She feels comfortable with him and she had fun playing in the game with him. too '3' She's also looking forward to bugging him to teach her how to hunt and stuff. Overall she thinks Ling is a pretty cool guy and wants to hang out with him more.

HMM so far her impression of Carnelian is positive. She doesn't feel super attached to the team as a whole, yet, but she would say that she likes everyone. She wants to help Carnelian win games, but mostly just so she can get memories right now. She's getting closer to the team and getting more attached to the idea of being part of a team, but slooowly. She did refer to Carnelian as "home" in a conversation with Shiny recently, but then she clarified that she just meant it as the place she lives right now. So she's getting there, but it's taking a while. Aather as a whole she likes and thinks it's a fun place. She's making friends, so she feels positive about being in Aather. She just wishes it was warmer, sigh.

Noooooo that's the hardest question!!

Leo would be Coral because lots of dumb boys that smile a lot :) and enjoy teasing :) and are generally sad princesses while pretending hard not to be. Fronting hard everything is fine :)!! And they are a very teamy kind of team which he would appreciate once he started getting crazy codependent on his important people. But that's because I'd give him a trolly starter memory; Carnelian was a good fit for tsundere amnesia Leo :|a!

Jack would be Ruby because all the tiny teen boys are there '-' No but also because Ruby is a good...teamy/family team and he'd need that because lol FAYZ memories. He would also be able to deal with dorky kids his age best and a pile of people willing to let him bawl all over them. They're also more or less a team that will try to protect themselves in games and Jack would try so hard to not die TIME TO BUS EVERY TEAM EXCEPT CARNELIAN TO LIVE. Alternatively Tiger's Eye because I like the idea of him in that color and I think he'd get along with most of them as they are now. Basically a team that has a good support network!

MACHIKA IS THE HARDEST I'd want to put her on Sapphire because...running into traffic is what she does her entire canon, but she is a little too punch-happy :|a It could fit but somehow it's hard to sort her onto a team that I already play a character in idk. I'd kinda put her as a knight (Sterling ladies tend to be badass) but she'd hate knighting because she'd want a team to crawl all over. May...be... idk Citrine because most of them would be okay with her violencing them and they are pretty shounen and also she could bully Kuroko \o/ Or Iolite but that is 95% because DRAGON TO CRAWL ALL OVER Machika has simple needs.

Knives thinks Macaron seems nice. She probably wouldn't be very interested in talking to her, but she knows Fawn has an alliance thing with Teal, so she's like "OKAY I'LL GET TO KNOW PEOPLE." But yes, she thinks Macaron seems nice and really smart. She had fun working with her during the partner game. So she wouldn't mind hanging out with her and getting to know her better.

YOU'RE VERY DEMANDING OF ME. UMMMM. god how do i get complicated here. everything loki does is kind of complicated in some way or another, either by default or because it'll lead into something that becomes complicated. uhhh god, let's see. loki always wants to be recognized, he wants friends and he wants people to really like him for who he is, and usually there's some pretty hefty problems with this, because, you know ~~~LOKI~~~. but in aather there's no baggage that really comes with him, so he pretty much goes around collecting friends without the reservation and guilt that's usually associated with it. he really enjoys people's company in general, and likes when people listen to him. he's a bit childish sort of just ... really likes the attention he gets from her? the flirting makes him a bit uncomfortable when it's outright noticeable (bc sometimes he doesn't notice it at all, lbh) in a fourteen year old boy way that he's fourteen, but otherwise it kinda gives him a bit of a confidence boost!

Knives intrigues Macaron--well okay that's unfair that's like saying 'Macaron is aware Knives exists.' Lemme try again.

Like with most people, Macaron is in her 'BE FRIENDLY BUT ANALYZE THE HELL OUT OF' mode with Knives. She knows that Knives is a Fawn, and thus an ally. She doesn't seem like a particularly bad person, and also doesn't seem like a threat. She's curious what power Knives wanted to test as a cat, and may end up asking about it at some point because of reasons. Still, Macaron wants to know a lot more about her and definitely doesn't find her distasteful. :)

Knives loves Steel. She would do anything for him, and he's been a constant since she first arrived in Deco. Lately she's been feeling less close to him, though. '-' Mostly because of the things that happened in the GM game. She knows everyone said things they didn't mean! And that it's over with now. But a part of her still feels like she let Steel (and the rest of the team) down, and also he yelled at her and he'd never done that before and that was a bummer. Also, she kind of feels like Steel and Janus have their own thing going on more and more often - not romantic stuff, that doesn't bother her at all, but they'll go out to train or go off after a game and she just feels left out. Which she reacts to by being snarky or bratty. She'll get over it, she just needs time to get used to things ~changing.

Anything new on Steel's end?

I am halfway through volume 4, I forget which issue I'm on but I got to the Truants!!!

Ling really likes Comet! He was a little unsure at first since when he came back he had to get used to 3 people he cared for being gone just like that (Shuri and Malik + Greed on Jasper), but he isn't the kind to hold new teammates responsible for that and like he told her in a thread a while ago he considers her a member of Carnelian just as much everyone else. But like, Comet keeps stacking a lot of points with him because she's really fun, she's cool, and he thinks she's both reliable and capable (which is why he didn't object to it when she offered to be the bait for the lion in their last game). He just likes her personality and talking with her a lot and definitely wants to get to know her more! Also part of him kind of enjoys having someone younger than him around (he was Carnelian's youngest member before he come back) who's in sync with him for a lot of things, it gives him the chance to act like a big brother and tho he has like 50 siblings he never really had the chance. BUT THIS IS NOT A THING HE WOULD SAY.

COMET HASN'T BEEN IN A TRAUMA GAME YET has she, how do you think she would react and play in one?

I LIKE THEM A LOT i am trying to pace myself and reread them because a lot of things I miss on the first read through, and I'm going to hate waiting once I catch up >(!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that things actually get answered eventually but some things I am trying to work out on my own...I liked the depth they give each character it's really interesting!!

Steel loves Knives back, but he is slipping a bit in his relationships with the rest of Fawn because he and Janus are just being so intensely... them, at each other. Partly this is just timezones but it's also them having a lot of huge issues they're dealing with. So he hasn't been as present as he used to be, in a figurative sense, since he kept lapsing or Janus kept lapsing and he's just had his entire attention focused on those things.

Anyway, he sent her to Lilac because he knows she has the most relationship ties with them, and he thought she would be best for the job. He actually trusts her A LOT in regards to opinions on other teams, which says something because he takes issue with some others in Fawn and how they behave around teams/who they make friends with. But he has never really had a problem with Knives, barring the GM game thing. He might ask her opinion on things like Cardinal soon :'D.

But yes we should do some things with them, maybe we can get some threading in on the weekend before the game happens.

Would you ever app a second to Deco, and if so who?

Probably not too great right now. She's very firm in believing that she doesn't want to hurt anybody, and right now she remembers being violent at home and that's just making her more convinced to be different in Aather. On the other hand, she does want Carnelian to win games. I guesss it would depend on what kind of trauma game it is. If there's self-sacrifice, she might be okay (or at least more willing) to do it. If it involves bussing other teams, she'll be more hesitant. Either way she'll definitely be traumatized, at least until she gets more violent memories. /o\

I MIGHT but it would have to be a character who I think can handle Deco's atmosphere. There's a character I'm a little pinged by right now, but I just don't think they'd do well in Deco so I'm holding off.
